Secretaries' Lunch

We are pleased to announce that the 2011 Calgary Macleod Secretaries' Lunch will be held on
Tuesday, March 1, 2011 starting at 11 a.m.
at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1009 - 15th Avenue SW, in Calgary.
During the noon hour period, we will be honored to welcome The Reverend Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Walls, Dean of Studies at the Vancouver School of Theology, as our guest speaker. Dr. Dutcher-Walls is a Professor of the Hebrew Bible and Director of the VST Library. There will be some handouts and an opportunity for discussion with Dr. Dutcher-Walls as she provides a brief introduction to the types of theology that are in the Old Testament.. It is also a good opportunity to find out more about VST if we have interested students in our congregations.

Arrangements are being made to bring in lunch for all attendees.

Please advise Marlene LaMontagne (mvlamont35@hotmail.com) or Rose-Anne Brown (rabrown999@gmail.com) of your attendance so we can provide enough for all attendees.

Marlene LaMontagne, Chair, Community of Communities and Rose-Anne Brown, Vice-Chair, Community of Communities

St Mac's Community
The St. Mac's Community is open to all students, staff and faculty at the University of Calgary.

The strength of St. Mac's is its diversity.

Our community has included people of almost every denomination, as well as non-churchgoers. We all share, however, an inclusive vision of the Christian faith, a passion for social justice, an interest in the contemplative dimension of the Christian experience, and a tendency to hang out around Tim and Klaus' offices in the Chaplains' Centre.

While our community has no formal structure or membership, our life together does have a general pattern focused on worship and expressions of our faith.
