Music Program Director (Part-time)

 St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Lethbridge) is seeking a creative, talented and spiritually-oriented  musician to provide leadership for our music program. This involves traditional and contemporary music to complement our weekly worship services. The Director will coordinate and conduct the Sanctuary choir during regular Sunday morning worship services and seasonal services. This will also involve music selection, rehearsals and to encourage the participation of other musical talents within the congregation.

 Under the guidance of the Congregational Life and Spiritual Formation Team, the Director will also develop, organize and lead St. Andrew’s Music Program (StAMP), which is a community outreach after-school music program structured for children and youth (Grades 1 – 8) from within the congregation of St. Andrew’s and the community-at-large.

The StAMP program currently offered September to April, requires a time commitment of 9 hours per week consisting of three music sessions of 1.5 hours each, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons,  plus 4.5 hours of weekly preparation time.

As part of the music team, the Music Program Director works closely with the Pianist/organist and the Minister.

Starting date: Fall 2017 Music Program Director is a salaried position.
